Energy Inspections

Energy audits are carried out in accordance with the applicable Regulation on the Energy Performance of Buildings (KENAK), including the issuance of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs). We also provide complete management, application file preparation, and implementation support for subsidised energy-efficiency schemes and the “Photovoltaics on Rooftops” programme.

Energy Audits – Energy Performance B' Class Certificates

An Energy Performance Certificate is required for all existing buildings or parts of buildings, including individual properties, when they are:

  • Sold or otherwise transferred

  • Rented

  • Undergoing major renovation

  • Intended for inclusion in a subsidised home energy-efficiency programme

To carry out the assessment, the certified energy inspector must visit the property and collect the following information and documentation:

  1. Property owner’s details and the purpose for which the certificate is being issued

  2. Information regarding the dimensions and type of the building envelope, windows and doors, heating and cooling systems, and other technical features recorded during the on-site inspection

  3. Building permit documentation, where available, including the permit record, topographical plan, thermal insulation study, and floor plan*

  4. National Cadastre Code Number (KAEK) and cadastral declaration details, where a cadastral office is operational and the property has been registered

  5. Property title deed*

  6. Boiler maintenance certificate*

Note: Documents marked with an asterisk (*) are required only where available.

As part of the preparation of the Energy Performance Certificate, our office undertakes all necessary searches and enquiries with the relevant authorities, including the Planning Authority and the Hellenic Cadastre.
